A gold mine offering a visit to imagine the daily life of the workers, and generating cleanup work.

The Châtelet gold mine operated for fifty years, from 1905 to 1955. Its activity ceased for lack of profitability. This adventure attracted a large workforce, foreigners in particular. It also led to clean-up work. Nowadays, one can visit the amazing mining village. Built in the manner of the corons of the North, it makes it easy to imagine the daily life of the workers during this unexpected rush.
