Par by proletarian monks, compagnons compagnons, renowned carpenters who know about the architecture of oriental influence developing in Spain on the roads of Fez, the abbey Saint-Barthélemy dates back to the th century. immense abbatiale située sur une des voies des chemins de Compostelle (la voie de Vézelay). Au cœur de Benevent l'abbaye petit bourg classé villages et cités de caractère (seul ville de Creuse ayant ce label). visite gratuite, quelques messe célébrées dans l'abbatiale notamment l'été (calendrier à l'entrée).

Beau bâtiment imposant, découvert dans le cadre du geocaching Terra Aventura. Vue intéressante sur les alentours. très bel autel. Quelques mignons chapiteaux sculptés
