THE VILLAGE
Bugeat is located 50 km north of Tulle on the Bords edge of the Naturel Natural Park. Its economy is based mainly on the breeding of sheep and cattle races. The forest and granite also employ premises, but Bugeat owes his gratitude to Alain Mimoun who, after having spent days in the woods and trails near her home, won the Melbourne marathon in 1957. History does not tell whether in its workouts the latter did not make multiple breaks to harvest the abundant ceps and vintages in the large spruce forests of spruce. Henri Troyat, also finding the climate of the region particularly good, was inspired by the commune in many of his novels. Finally, the reputation of Bugeat is done through its training centre, the Espace des 1 000 Sources, managed by the General Council and open to all athletes. In the heart of the Millevaches Plateau is a unique site of Olympic preparation.
