DOMAINE MODAT
Philippe Modat and wine is a love story that goes back to childhood. Coming from a long line of winegrowers. One day, as a matter of course, he wanted to give birth to his wine, which he wanted to be rich, silky and unforgettable. To do this, he began by choosing the terroir that would bear the fruits of his desire. He found it on the Cassagnes plateau (Agly valley), where gneiss, through its properties, optimizes the cultivation of grape varieties giving smooth dry white wines and round, full-bodied red wines of great freshness. Poetic names which, through the daily toil required by organic viticulture, have kept their promises by offering exceptional grapes whose subtle alchemy of blending and vinification have revealed sensual and prestigious wines put on J. Robuchon's tables and often awarded prizes. His father told us that for Philippe, medals were not his goal, he only wants excellence. Just one piece of advice, taste and get drunk on his incomparable wines!
