The oldest part of the palace hosts cultural events throughout the year
Residence of the sovereigns of Majorca in the 13th century, this imposing palace dominates the city. It is surrounded by six towers and opens onto a gigantic central courtyard. The austere architecture is enhanced by some Gothic and Mediterranean elements. After the annexation of Roussillon, Vauban consolidated the citadel. The lower part is still occupied by the army. The oldest part hosts cultural events all year round, the hanging gardens concerts in summer.

Es gibt nichts zu sehen außer Steine. Der Palast als auch die Kirchen sind vollkommen leer und man bekommt keine Vorstellung von der Verwendung der Räume.
