The oldest part of the palace hosts cultural events throughout the year

Residence of the sovereigns of Majorca in the 13th century, this imposing palace dominates the city. It is surrounded by six towers and opens onto a gigantic central courtyard. The austere architecture is enhanced by some Gothic and Mediterranean elements. After the annexation of Roussillon, Vauban consolidated the citadel. The lower part is still occupied by the army. The oldest part hosts cultural events all year round, the hanging gardens concerts in summer.

Magnifique et immense château ! Dommage que la visite de donne pas sur l'entièreté, petit bémol sur les toilettes pas très clean mais qui propose toute fois une table a langer, ce qui est toujours bien pratique. Pas très facile d'accès en voiture, enfin surtout pour se garer, il y a beaucoup de travaux en ce moment aux environs de l'entrée du château. Belle visite tout de même, à faire !

Hermoso lugar se recorre casi completo con muy pocas zonas cerradas al público, lo que se agradece ademas de una exposición de luces espectacular.
