The oldest part of the palace hosts cultural events throughout the year

Residence of the sovereigns of Majorca in the 13th century, this imposing palace dominates the city. It is surrounded by six towers and opens onto a gigantic central courtyard. The austere architecture is enhanced by some Gothic and Mediterranean elements. After the annexation of Roussillon, Vauban consolidated the citadel. The lower part is still occupied by the army. The oldest part hosts cultural events all year round, the hanging gardens concerts in summer.

Je vous conseille de prendre la visite guidée, si non vous risquez de ne pas rester longtemps. Par contre jolie panorama.

Très belle visite, le palais-forteresse se situe en plein cœur de la ville et offre un cadre apaisant !

Très bonne visite ! Mais il faut absolument aller au heure de visite guidée (gratuit). Conter 1h15 pour la visite guidée et 45min en solo

Belle visite. La montée vers le Palais permet de profiter de la vue sur la ville et les Pyrénées. Le tour guidé est très utile pour comprendre l'histoire de la région, du lieu et son architecture. Le site étant assez sobre, les explications sont ainsi plus que bienvenues. En plus des vieilles pierres, le Palais abrite une petite salle d'exposition temporaire avec une programmation intéressante.

Magnifique endroit à ne pas manquer quand ont visite Perpignan c'est à voir absolument avec ces tours cette histoire catalane vraiment enchanteur je conseille vivement cette visite
