OFFICE DE TOURISME DE CLUSES
The town of Cluses is located in the middle valley of the river Arve, the watercourse that joins the Rhône in Geneva. It has two major assets. The first is historic: it is its perfect conversion from the watch industry to that of the turning (see the Horlogerie Museum and the Turning) - the machining of small industrial pieces. The second is its situation: Cluses is a good starting point for the five large massif stations: Flaine, Le-de-Lys, Carroz-d'Araches, Morillon and Samoëns. A summer event not to be missed: Music in stock, offering us contemporary music from rock to blues. A few figures: 5 hotels, 29 restaurants and 350 shops. It is a pleasant city with its traces of the past: the Old Bridge, the city hall, the square of the Allobroges and its th century fountain… We walk on the banks of the river Arve from the tourist office to the lake of Thyez or make a small hike. Cluses doesn't lack interest centres!
