Park with fountains and waterfalls featuring various plants and trees of the region in Argelès, also offering a beautiful view.

To the south of Argelès stands the elegant 19th century château de Valmy, surrounded by parkland and vineyards. The castle and the vineyards are privately owned, but the park is public. This 5-hectare site of greenery presents a great variety of plants and trees of the region; in spring, a multitude of coloured flowers exhale their perfumes. Between paths, fountains and waterfalls, you can enjoy a beautiful forest planted with cork oaks and cedars for a picnic in the shade with an unobstructed view of Argelès, the beach and the Albères.

Opening time and information on VALMY MUNICIPAL PARK

Open: from 8 February to 8 March, tts days from 8 to 18h; from 9 March to 3 April, from 10 to 18h on Wednesdays and weekends; from 6 April to 30 October from 10 to 18h tts days; from 1 but to 30 September from 10 to 19h tts days; from 1 October to 1 November from 10 to 18h tts days. Closed from November to February and during the Festival les Déferlantes in June and July. Free of charge. Picnic and play areas. Dogs kept on a leash are allowed.

Lieu de promenade et de détente bien agréable. Vue imprenable sur Argelès et les environs . Ce site permet de découvrir les différentes essences de la région notamment le chêne liège.
