The French valley, whose name refers to a time when the valley was a possession of the Franks
Two traditions explain the origin of the name "French Valley". The first evokes a time when the valley, located in Visigoth territory, was a possession of the Franks. According to another legend, the construction of the Notre-Dame-de-Valfrancesque church in Moissac commemorated a Frankish victory over the Saracens, and the valley was named in their honor. A third version has it that, during the Hundred Years' War, the valley remained the only peaceful refuge from English occupation.

Attention cependant la tranquillité à un prix, sur les petites routes sinueuses il faut plus compter en temps de parcours qu'en distance.
