Park with Tuscan villa-style residence, orchard, play area and dog-friendly spot near Montpellier's Lez river.

This park and its Tuscan villa-like residence belonged to the family of painter Frédéric Bazille. The estate inspired some of his most famous works, including La Robe rose, Réunion de famille and Vue de Castelnau-le-Lez. Today, this green space exudes a sense of calm. At its entrance, the magnificent meadow in bloom in spring, its orchard and the proximity of the River Lez are reminiscent of Monet's Champs de coquelicots... For younger visitors, there's also a children's play area.

Parc très sympa et très grand au nord de Montpellier. Les chiens y ont un espace réservé ou ils peuvent se promener sans laisse. C'est rare, on apprécie !

un parc très sympa pour se balader en étant dans Montpellier. on reconnaît sans problème les endroits que Frédéric Bazille a peints, donc mieux vaut y aller après être allé au musée Fabre ou juste avant ! sa maison est toujours présente dans le parc mais ne se visite que dans des cas exceptionnels comme les journées du patrimoine. le jardin a des airs très impressionnistes, on se régale quand tout est en fleurs !

Very pleasant place, between Aiguelongue and Lez with Castelnau. Beautiful meadow flowers in spring. Shades, games for children, place for dogs, benches, orchard, green paradise downtown!

The months of May and June are ideal for visiting the estate Méric. Indeed, the flora is at its peak, and the vast field of the estate is equipped with hundreds of thousands of red, blue, yellow flower... Tables await you in the shade for picnics, not far from the playground.
