This splendid 18th-century "folie" is surrounded by greenery. Passed down from generation to generation, today it bears witness to the lifestyle of Montpellier's notables of the time (furniture, documents, tapestries...). Now owned by the De Colbert family, the monument, its vault and gardens have been beautifully restored. In addition to the building, the château's five hectares of vegetation are home to an astonishing variety of local shrubs, plants and vines. The estate also boasts its own restaurant: Le Folia.

The oldest of Montpellier's "Folies" is remarkable in more ways than one: built in 1696, it has endured through history, braving the ravages of time thanks to
thanks to the passion of a single family, the descendants of Etienne de Flaugergues.
Although the property can be visited, it is not a museum in the sense of "sleeping beauty", because the owners live there!
They have chosen to open the doors of THEIR home to the public. Here, the personal photos are mixed with the precious
collections of the XVIIIth century, so that while walking through the rooms, the visitor feels a bit at home.
A wine estate in the heart of the city with its 28 hectares of vineyards classified as AOP Languedoc Grès de Montpellier and IGP Pays d'OC, the Château de Flaugergues has been able to make the development of the Montpellier agglomeration an ally: located in the heart of the Millénaire business center, close to the freeway exit, the estate is very easily accessible to visitors
A restaurant and reception rooms: A restaurant open at lunchtime during the week and on reservation or specific request offers to enjoy a meal around a local and market cuisine, whose menu changes every day. The fully restored Mas welcomes you for all types of events, receptions, meetings, seminars.
Tout d’abord, bien que très accessible à pied depuis Odysseum, nous avons failli nous faire écraser 10 fois sur la route aller / retour

Un mini mini jardin à la française
Une grosse maison bourgeoise et certainement pas un château
Qui était fermé
Un tas de crottes de chien devant le « château »
Ensuite un parcours avec bruit d’autoroute, des figuiers, des pins, des vignes, formidable
Lorsqu’on voit le splendide jardin des plantes GRATUIT de Montpellier à côté !
Gagnez du temps et de l’argent, n’allez pas à ce prétendu « château », il n’y a rien à voir
Nous avons visité le jardin et comment vous dire que nous avons passé un merveilleux moment. L'accueil par Marianna était super. Nous reviendrons très vite.
