St. Peter's Cathedral with a baldachin supported by huge circular piers that once bore the coat of arms of Urban V.

Originally a Benedictine chapel built in 1364, this church became the episcopal see in 1536. Devastated during the Wars of Religion, it was remodeled in the 17th and 19th centuries in several sections, contrasting with its austere facade and 14th-century porch. The Revolution proclaimed it the "Temple of Reason", before it became a military warehouse. Its most impressive feature is undoubtedly its porch: an imposing baldachin supported by enormous circular pillars that once bore the coat of arms of Urban V.

Très jolie cathédrale. Sur une petite place où il est possible de prendre un verre ou une crêpe.

What a majestic cathedral! I loved the outside more than the inside. There weren't a lot of visitors and was freely accessible.
