Classical dance

Fabienne Delorme and Fabrice Mineau, state graduates, chose to guide their career towards teaching after more than seventeen years on boards as dancers and choreographers. More than 4 students from the classical dance dance their courses in the two rooms, open to children for years as well as adults. Amateurs like professionals - preparation for competitions and hearings on request - are welcome. Unlike most schools, lessons are not interrupted during school holidays. During the winter and summer courses, guests from the invited dance dance the workshops. Fabienne and Fabrice have created a young ballet of Montpellier and Hérault in the course of training young dancers. Each year, students prepare shows and a year-end gala. Probably one of the best schools in the genre, the antichambre of the stars.

Since 2015, Christian Rizzo has taken over the artistic direction of the Institut Chorégraphique International de Montpellier. The institute has a transversal vision of creation, training, artistic education and opening to the public. Numerous shows are offered at the Agora with exceptional pieces, but the ICI is also committed through its creation and production pole to supporting projects and training dancers.

TRANS' EN DANSE

Dance classes

Trans' en Danse is a dance school located in Montpellier. Founded in 2008 by Jessica Fernandez, a state-qualified teacher and the school's artistic and pedagogical manager, it offers a variety of dance classes including Modern'Jazz, Classical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz, Pointes, Barre à terre, Salsa Fusion and Stretching. Classes are aimed at children aged 4 and over, teenagers and adults, from beginners to pre-professionals. The school also offers a pre-professional curriculum for students wishing to prepare for a career in dance, with specific courses and preparation for competitions and the technical aptitude exam. Internships are also offered throughout the year. The school has two professional dance studios equipped with oak parquet flooring, mirrors and barres. It's a 5-minute walk from downtown Montpellier and the train station. Reduced rates are available, as well as discounts for students and families. The school is affiliated with the Pass Culture scheme, enabling 18-year-olds to benefit from a 300-euro subsidy for dance lessons or other cultural activities.
