Gibert's bookshop opened its doors on Place des Martyrs-de-la-Résistance in 1956, making it the oldest bookshop in the city! Far from having lost any of its dynamism, the address is still appreciated by lovers of low-priced books, with almost 135,000 references within its walls and on its website. Several departments: youth, cinema, history, fine arts, tourism... It also houses Montpellier's largest stationery shop, as well as CDs and DVDs.

La personne à la caisse a accepté, mais son attitude a été franchement méchante. Elle nous a parlé de manière hautaine et méprisante, sans aucune bienveillance. On s’est sentis jugés et mal accueillis. C’était une expérience vraiment désagréable.
Très déçus par cet accueil glacial, loin de l’image que nous avions de Gibert.
Un peu plus d’amabilité et de respect envers les clients — même jeunes — ne ferait vraiment pas de mal.
