Visit of a remarkable museum retracing the history of shellfish farming in the Thau basin.
Here we discover the inhabitants of the village through their main activity: the small trades of fishing, the culture of oysters and mussels. During the visit, we dive into the local atmosphere and history thanks to an original presentation of objects and tools. Aquariums, videos and models also illustrate the tour. An interactive interface completes the experience to learn more about the Bouzigues oyster and the families who work on the pond.

Opening time and information on THAU LAGOON MUSEUM
Closed from December 1st to February 1st. Closed on Mondays (except July/August) and May 1st. Low season: open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm. High season : every day from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm. March, April, May, June, September, October from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Free until 6 years old. Adult : 5 €. Children (from 7 to 18 years old) : 3,50 €. Group (15 persons) : 4 €. Vacation vouchers. Adapted toilets. Guided tour (for groups on reservation (minimum 15 persons)). Store.

Site magnifique avec l’étang devant et Sète au loin. Plongée très belle dans la vie de l’étang, les pécheurs, les huîtres et quand on y était une belle expo sur les algues.
