A museum where you can discover the art and techniques of spinning and weaving, trades that have provided a livelihood for many local people

An impressive collection of 10,000 exhibits offers an instructive insight into the life, know-how and history of the Cévennes. Man and the objects he has created occupy a central place in the museum's discourse and scenography. The memory of the spinning mill, the oldest to introduce innovations and the last in operation in France, is treated as a precious heritage, magnified by a deliberately contemporary renovation and extension.

Extraordinaire musée dont les conservateurs ont su mixer avec le plus grand bonheur tradition et modernité. C’est beau - tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur - , c’est intelligent, original, passionnant. BRAVO, c’est un sans faute !

Une magnifique réhabilitation d'un site industriel qui permet de mettre en valeur la richesse du patrimoine local non seulement Cévenol mais de nos campagnes en général. Un richesse d'objet qui mis en situation ne font pas fouillis. sans oublier le petit jardin botanique près du parking.
