CHÂTEAU DE MONTCAUD * * * * *
Château opened as a hotel, offering 5 hectares of parkland, unique, cosy rooms with silk paneling, a refined haute place
Built in 1848 by Alexandre Eugène Collain, a silk merchant and great humanist, the château went through periods of splendor and abandonment, and was twice opened as a hotel. Its latest version came into being in 2018, thanks to its new owner Jürg Witmer. Its 5-hectare park has also been re-enchanted with the spirit of the place: the soothing beauty of nature and the luxury of simplicity. Each unique room, elegant, refined and comfortable, has preserved the history of the château and evokes its founder with a silk panel. A place of Provencal refinement.
