This winery has been rewarded for its quality policy, from the choice of grape variety right through to bottling. Sustainable management, controlled yields, terroir selection and judicious blending produce quality wines with excellent value for money. For example, Roca Fortis, a regional Côtes du Rhône Villages made from a plot selection dominated by Syrah, is an unfiltered cuvée aged for two years in oak barrels. Pierre Jauffret comes from several generations of winegrowers who have been working since 1856. In 2000, Château Terre Forte resolutely turned towards the future by practicing biodynamic viticulture. The twenty-hectare estate has several terroirs, mainly clay-limestone with deep, rounded pebbles. We like the Rouge, which has a "good picolability index", and for a biodynamic wine, it's well worth the detour in terms of quality/price. Don't forget to allow time for tasting.

Domaine de la Lôyane was founded in 2001, and is now turning to organic farming. Located in Rochefort-du-Gard, this small family-run business has 25 hectares of vines. Thanks to its exceptional geographical and geological situation, the vineyard is part of an environmentally-friendly approach, with many stages of manual work. Power, finesse and elegance are the watchwords of the domaine's wines, which include whites (Cuvée Laure en Grain), reds (Cuvée Marie Lirac) and rosés...
