The city's green lung, with formal gardens and spaces centred on the Nemausa spring

A veritable treasure trove of greenery in the heart of Nîmes, the Jardins de la Fontaine stretch out at the foot of the Tour Magne. This French-style garden, centered on the Nemausa spring, blends ancient remains with 18th-century charm. Created under Louis XV on a site already occupied by the Romans, it offers a stroll through marble statues, Mediterranean vegetation and majestic fountains. The Temple de Diane, the site's mysterious jewel, makes it one of the city's most romantic corners.
