The CCAS de Nîmes, as any communal centre for social action, aims to support people living with the social, disabled, and family. On the basis of an administrative dossier, financial allocations for solidarity or ad hoc aid may be obtained:

- household aid, investment aid, housing aid

- residential accommodation allowances

- specific old-age allowances, personalised self-help assistance (APA), packed meals,

- State medical aid, aid to families or persons living with a disability

- social assistance for people living with minimum social conditions (participation in canteen costs, free for sports practice, transport, good food, holidays…).

Applications for social assistance are in advance being investigated by a social assistant or RSA focal point.

- Antenne de la confédération du planning familial (family planning confederation), based in Alès at 29 rue du Faubourg d'Auvergne (tel 04 66 86 19 85). Open by appointment, or on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at the Maison des familles in Anduze, and on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at the Maison des familles in Alès.
- Permanence régionale téléphonique d'information IVG Languedoc-Roussillon. Counsellors advise on questions of sexuality, contraception, pregnancy, fundamental rights, domestic violence, sexually transmitted diseases, public health (tel. 04 67 99 33 33).

- Center de Planification et d'Education Familiale -11 ter, rue Salomon Reinach (tel. 04 66 38 00 54). Consultation on Fridays from 12pm to 2pm.

- Center de Planification et d'Education Familiale - 10, rue Villeperdrix (tel. 04 66 76 75 04). Consultation Mondays from 10am to 12pm. Medical consultations by appointment on Mondays from 2pm to 6pm, Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm. The schedule also serves as a relay for abortion requests.
