The CCAS de Nîmes, as any communal centre for social action, aims to support people living with the social, disabled, and family. On the basis of an administrative dossier, financial allocations for solidarity or ad hoc aid may be obtained:

- household aid, investment aid, housing aid

- residential accommodation allowances

- specific old-age allowances, personalised self-help assistance (APA), packed meals,

- State medical aid, aid to families or persons living with a disability

- social assistance for people living with minimum social conditions (participation in canteen costs, free for sports practice, transport, good food, holidays…).

Applications for social assistance are in advance being investigated by a social assistant or RSA focal point.

A bridge between schools and associative tissue, the Sports Directorate allows young people between the ages of 7 and 14 to access leisure, workshops and sports courses organized by the city's animation-coordination service. These are proposed physical activities of full nature, in the river, in caves, in the sea or in the mountains. On a fee that takes account of the public's income, these activities complement the services of other sports clubs (CLSH and Youth Service). The supervision is provided by territorial educators, all state-patented and/or licensed in science and technology (STAPS). For all registration information, open office to the public at Stade Costières. Ask for the free and useful directory of sports associations with the list of updated coordinates every year.

The Nîmes Arena is a must-see cultural monument during your stay in the city. Built around 100 AD, they are considered the best-preserved amphitheatre of the Roman Empire. Unlike the Colosseum in Rome, the Nîmes Arena has been preserved and converted into a residential area, allowing visitors to explore its arena, stands, interior galleries and arcades. With a capacity of 24,000 spectators, the amphitheatre offers a unique experience to relive the atmosphere of the Roman games. Visitors can also explore the subterranean galleries that were used to conjure up scenery and fighters on the track. In addition to the amphitheatre, visitors can also discover the Nîmes gladiator school and learn more about the history of the bull, which has always occupied an important place in the Arènes. Guided tours, riddle games and dramatized visits are offered for an immersive and entertaining experience.

Since the civil status has been microfilmed, the search for acts is done from the microfilm. Population censuses are available on CD-rom. Any player must be registered on the basis of an official identity piece with a photograph. After this formality, the reader can consult the majority of the files. Some of them are subject to time limits for communication, and derogations must be requested to access them. Inventories, thematic files are available to the public to guide them in their research. Photocopies of related documents are prohibited, but photographs are permitted.

Sharing the building in the prefecture, the offices of the General Council of Gard face the hotel of the department, in a triangle, behind the train station and Feuchère avenue, where the territorial administration services hold the top of the pavement. The CG 30, in partnership with local actors and the citizens themselves, acts in different areas: social, health, integration, culture, transport, agriculture and tourism. In the reception of buildings, numerous communication documents and booklets are available to the public. You will also find the monthly Gard Mag. On the website of the territorial community, a flow of information about actions, a conference agenda and outputs and, to note, the possibility to download a new single document for grant applications, more practical to fill in for associations.

- Permanence régionale téléphonique d'information IVG Languedoc-Roussillon. Counsellors advise on questions of sexuality, contraception, pregnancy, fundamental rights, domestic violence, sexually transmitted diseases, public health (tel. 04 67 99 33 33).

The schedule also serves as a relay for abortion requests.

One-stop shopping, Maison de l'Emploi has for vocation to inform and direct the unemployed or training. In town, the centre has no immediate offers display of recruiting and provides information on the different sectors, on the actions conducted in favour of employment. On request, and advisers can accompany the rather worn for the validation by the projects, communication of the calendars of formations, the creation or renewal of activity.
