Since 1977, Nîmes cinephiles have had just one address: Le Sémaphore. This local cinema, a veritable cultural center, shows independent films in VO, documentaries, children's films... In its 6 cinemas, you can see a number of French and international films, both topical and less so. Guy Labory was a saxophonist from Nîmes who created the jazz club of Nîmes which has over 200 concerts to its credit. Today, the Labory Jazz Club production brings together jazz musicians of national and international level, under its own label. The LJC offers concerts and types of events, not to mention the annual three-day "tribute to Guy Labory" festival. The bodega of the Poet, rue Thoumayne, is the historical place of their concerts, which are becoming more and more regular.

The Association for a Popular Theatre, which enters its 46 ^th season in Nîmes, develops a dynamic and dynamic activity for the benefit of loyal spectators. But for some years now, the Jazz 70 Association has been able to boast about the jazz in Nîmes. Members of the Jazz Group in L'R, programmers and turners have been re-established as an indispensable partner for many operations. The association had the good idea of not confining itself to elitist chapels. As a result, those who work around the artistic Director, Stéphane Kochoyan, seek to mix styles to bring together all generations around jazz. A former district cinema, completely renovated by the Kinepolis Forum, this modern complex, located in the city centre, is well integrated into its neighbourhood. With its 4 fully equipped rooms (digital projection, 3 D, pop-corn shop), the cinema follows the news of the exits, but does not try to compete with its grand brother at Costières des Costières. On the whole, you can find the same programming as in the periphery, but here we walk by walking.
