Restaurant-bar with a nice little terrace offering simple and authentic cuisine in Nîmes
Set back from the Rue de Bernis and opening onto a small terrace in summer, this restaurant-bar is a well-known haunt of Nîmes' taste buds. The cuisine is simple and authentic, with a Mediterranean twist. By simple cuisine, the house means Rossini-style grilled beef fillet, whole bass in wallet, roast partridge barded with bacon, a plate of Iberian charcuterie, duck foie gras terrine and even, if you're completely stuffed after the dish, lemon mille-feuille, three-chocolate mousse or café gourmand revive the pleasure of dessert. By Vintage we mean an ode to prestigious wines, a cellar that refrains from piquettes and poor table wines. The owner knows how to showcase his selection of fine bottles from small local producers of renowned Languedoc grands crus. The à la carte menu features recipes from the Mediterranean coast, which the chef combines with finesse and elegance. A wide selection of local wines served by the glass. Minervois wines, in particular, are excellent. A restaurant not to be missed in Nîmes, climbing the ladder of taste and earning its stripes by the day.
Je recommande vivement.
