Typical village of the Midi, situated at the same distance from the sea and the Cevennes, Nimes and Montpellier and close to the medieval city of Sommières, Junas allows to discover a different Gard and offers an opening to the Hérault. The most animated month is July with the Rencontres of the Stone in which exhibitions of sculpture, concerts and an international stone tailleurs contest are held early in the month, and a boasts jazz festival is excellent for amateurs in the middle of the month. In August, a country festival takes place in careers.
