BASCHIERI CÉRAMIQUE
Located in Barjac, Ariège, Baschieri Céramique is a manufacturer of ceramic products. Artisan potter Marie-Line Baschieri works the clay with respect and humility, transforming it into magnificent creations. Specializing in the art of throwing, she uses a variety of decorative techniques, including large-fire, small-fire, engobes and high-temperature glazes. The pottery workshop is set in the heart of a rustic farmhouse, offering a space where time seems suspended. Baschieri Céramique offers glazed Saint Amand stoneware tableware, produced in small batches. Pottery is fired at 980°C, then decorated with colored glazes before being fired at high temperatures between 1260°C and 1280°C. The glazes used are the result of research into titanium, which gives them nuance, opacity and a matte appearance. The tableware is waterproof, vitrified and lead-free, making it suitable for everyday use, whether in the dishwasher or the oven. Baschieri Céramique's aim is to promote local craftsmanship and make the potter's art accessible to all.
