A castle at an altitude of 275 m, hosting guided tours offered by the Association de Sauvegarde du Château d'Allègre
Standing at an altitude of 275 m, on a hectare and a half, the castle offers an incredible view of the Cevennes and the Mont Bouquet. Its remarkable ruins are what remains of the village of knights which was sheltered by these lands around the XIth century. The Association of Safeguarding of the Castle of Allègre gives again life to these stone vessels, in particular by proposing visits and animations, of which the medieval festival the3rd Saturday of July. Every first Saturday, the volunteers meet to work and maintain the site.
