This chapel houses a magnificent stucco altarpiece and Carrara marble altar dating from 1838.
Built around 1400 on the site of a former convent of Cordeliers monks given by Louis IX (aka Saint Louis) to the inhabitants of Aigues-Mortes in 1248, the chapel houses a magnificent stucco altarpiece and Carrara marble altar dating from 1838. These Cordeliers monks were behind the creation of the Confrérie des Pénitents Gris.
Once a year , a classical music concert is held here: the acoustics are outstanding!
