In 1991, painter Piet Moget and his daughter Layla took over an old wine cellar with raw charm. After renovation, the L.A.C. was born, one of the most unexpected contemporary art venues in the region. On two levels, it houses works by renowned national and international artists: Klein, Dado, Wang Du, Geer van Velde, Spescha... Each temporary exhibition is enriched by a selection from the permanent collection, offering a rich and constantly renewed artistic experience.

Closed from December to March. June/July/August/September: open Thursday to Sunday, 3pm to 7pm. April/May: open Thursday to Sunday, 2pm to 6pm. October/November: by appointment only, at least two days in advance. Free admission for children under 15. Adults: €5. Children's workshop. Temporary exhibitions.

The Lieu d'art contemporain (L.A.C) is a must-see in Sigean. Ideally situated between two major art routes linking Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nîmes, Céret, Barcelona and the Château de Jau, this unique site invites discovery. Housed in a former wine cellar converted by Dutch painter Piet Moget and his daughter Layla, the L.A.C. offers an exceptional 2,000 m² exhibition space on two levels. This light-filled space combines the authenticity of the winegrowing remains with the simplicity needed to sublimate the works of art. The old vats have been converted into intimate showrooms, ideal for more confidential creations. Among the permanent collections, you can admire works by such great artists as Geer van Velde, Karel Appel, Dado, André Lhote and Bengt Lindström. Upstairs, temporary exhibitions feature hyperrealist, minimalist and conceptual works, offering a varied and captivating artistic experience. A must-see for art lovers, where culture, history and creativity come together during your visit to Sigean.
