Former Cistercian abbey in Southern Languedoc Gothic style, listed as a historic monument, guest rooms on site.

Just 6 km from Saint-Martin-le-Vieil is the listed Villelongue Abbey. Built in 1180, this former Cistercian abbey is a perfect example of Southern Gothic architecture, typical of Occitanie. The monastic calm is barely disturbed by birdsong, the murmur of visitors, and the echo of footsteps on the cobblestones. The garden adds to the charm and confidential atmosphere of the place. If you'd like to extend the experience, guest rooms are available within the abbey itself.

Vous pouvez juste visiter l Abbaye sans forcément prendre une chambre, on a été accueilli par une jeune fille très agréable et qui explique bien ce qu il y a à voir et les consignes.

Superbe expérience pour une nuit atypique au calme. On peut visiter l'abbaye comme on veut pendant le séjour. Personnel accueillant. Attention, pas de clim ni réseau dans les chambres.
