In 2011, following the creation of the intermunicipal tourist office in Caunes-Minervois, in agreement with the municipality, the Rieux-Minervois Accueil association was created, which became a tourist information point. Located near the small door of the church, Colette and Edith are waiting for you, with enthusiasm, to talk to you about the beautiful 13th-century rotunda, the wonders of Sainte-Marie church, to offer you guided tours through the buildings, jewels of Romanesque art, to present regional products and souvenirs on sale at the association's premises. In addition, from April to October, the PIT hosts exhibitions, which are held on a monthly basis, and which are opened on the first Friday of each month.

La chiesa dell'Assunzione di Nostra Signora o chiesa di Santa Maria è una chiesa romanica situata a Rieux-Minervois, nel dipartimento francese dell'Aude nella regione dell'Occitania.
Siamo di fronte ad una chiesa romanica del XII secolo, progettata a forma di rotonda con torre ettagonale. Tutto intorno si trova un secondo recinto circolare che permette di camminare attorno all'edificio ed è coperto da una volta descritta da un quarto di cerchio che funge da arco rampante per le pareti del coro.
Da notare le ricchissime sculture e i capitelli attribuiti all'anonimo Maestro di Cabestany e alla sua scuola, in particolare la famosa “Mandorla” che rappresenta l'Assunzione della Vergine Maria.
Il cosiddetto Maestro di Cabestany è stato uno scultore anonimo francese della seconda metà del XII secolo. È uno dei più rappresentativi artisti "pellegrini" del suo tempo, lasciando tracce del suo operato tra la Francia del Sud, l'Italia e la Spagna del Nord.
Il maestro deve il suo nome a un timpano scolpito nella chiesa diCabestany, in Francia, dove sono rappresentate tre scene dellaVita della Vergine(laVergine che esce dal sepolcro sorretta dal Cristo, l'Assunzione, e al centroCristo tra la Vergine e san Tommaso).
