FAIRY CAVE
Read moreSouth of Leucate, the cave has been classified Historic Monument since 1924. Ten years earlier, Theodore Héléna discovered six terracotta statuettes dating from the first or second century after J.-C, now visible at the Sigean Museum, which probably represented Greco-Roman deities (Aphrodite, Mercury and Minerve).
The cave itself has 5 siphons, 120 metres long and reaching a depth of 34 metres.
LEUCATE'S AVEN
Read moreThe entrance of the aven lies in a vineyard, east of the village of Leucate. Like his neighbour, the Fées cave, he contains a trap at the end of 1960 by the underwater research and research group. According to the findings identified by the Speleological committee of the Aude, the cavity leads to the trap, 20 metres under the entrance.
