On this Wednesday in July, the atmosphere was rather calm at Les Halles... except at Lolo and Fred's! The best place to be is at the counter, where you can drink a toast, talk to your neighbor, watch Fred get busy behind his plancha and Laurence, who always has something to say. On the menu: fried artichokes, sausages by the metre, frogs' legs, meat a la plancha, fish & chips... it's generous, well-crafted and downright naughty. The whole of Carcassonne meets here, a mix of loyal locals and happy tourists.
