Immerse yourself in the origins of Bram with a visit to Eburomagus, located in the Maison de l'Archéologie in the heart of the village. Step through the doors of this unique site and be amazed! Whether you're curious or an enthusiast, there's something for everyone to learn. With a wide variety of artefacts on display, you're in for a real journey back in time. Once called Eburomagus, in ancient times Bram was an essential crossroads between Toulouse and Carcassonne, on the famous Aquitaine road. More than 800 exhibits, many of them meticulously restored, are displayed over an area of 150 m². The permanent exhibition, organized around six main themes, traces the evolution of the region from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Daily gestures, ancient trade and funerary practices are explored, with video support. The section devoted to the Roman era is particularly captivating. Regular temporary exhibitions enhance the discovery, and during Heritage Days, visitors can access the research laboratory. The Laboratoire d'Archéologie du Lauragais association plays an active role in the life of the museum: it supports research, organizes conferences, runs guided tours, manages the specialized library and proposes events throughout the year. The Musée de Bram, recognized as a Musée de France, aims to be a place of knowledge, sharing and transmission.
