Superbe abbaye à visiter absolument. Très intéressante exposition temporaire

Personnel agréable, ville très sympathique. Par contre pas grand chose à voir du côté de l abbaye.

Situada a la ciutat medieval d'Alet, els orígens d'aquesta abadia continuen sent un misteri. Al segle XII va ser un important punt de trobada de pelegrins. Després dels temps difícils de la Croada contra els càtars, coneix un ressorgir inesperat i és proclamada seu arquebisbal. L'abadia, situada intramurs, és destruïda durant les guerres de religió i avui dia només se'n conserven els imponents vestigis: la catedral de Notre Dame del segle XII, la sala capitular i la porta d'entrada nord.

Niet spectaculaire. Het dorpje in geweest. Alles is verlaten. Het valt mij op dat de dorpjes er verlaten bij liggen. Er is weinig vertier. De kerk was dicht.
