Church dating from the century, one of the oldest in the Versailles diocese, with Romanesque decorative elements.
Dating from the second half of the 11th century, the church at Villennes is one of the oldest in the diocese, and retains very few elements of the original building. Damaged during the Hundred Years' War, the church underwent a series of restorations over the following centuries. The sanctuary was replaced by a flat chevet wall, the nave ended by two side aisles opening onto two chapels, and the bell tower was rebuilt in the 16th century. Remarkable carvings on the double arch and the beauty of the Romanesque-style decorative elements on the capitals.
