MARCHÉ DE PELLEGRUE

Market

Pellegrue's traditional market is held every Wednesday morning in the town center. However, during the summer months (July and August), the bastide also boasts night markets. You'll find local produce, local wines, Bazadaise meat, duck and cheese from nearby farms. And musical entertainment always livens up the festivities. It's all about good food and good cheer. It's also an opportunity to visit churches and fortified houses.

CHÂTEAU DE LUGAGNAC

Winery

From the 13th century, the castle of Lugagnac, rebuilt in the 15th and 17th centuries, has preserved its elegant architecture, its octagonal tower and its watchtower. The owners run a 75-hectare vineyard estate in the Bordeaux Supérieur, Bordeaux rosé and Bordeaux dry white appellations, replanted in 1970 with nobles  grape varieties: merlot, cabernet-sauvignon and cabernet franc for the reds and rosés, sauvignon and muscadelle for the whites. Lugagnac wines regularly win awards at national and international competitions.
