The reputation of this estate is due to the personality of the Baron and his wife. In a superb English-style park, the buildings are organized around a "U" shaped courtyard where the "large cellar" designed by the architect Charles Siclis is located. A true "wine theatre", as Baron Philippe liked to say, this building imposes itself by its size and by the perfectly rectilinear alignment of the oak barrels where this first grand cru classé is aged. Next to it, the Rothschild family exhibited their personal collection of works of art representing vines and wine from antiquity to the present day. A wine museum in art, which explains the relatively high cost of a visit that does not lack attractions, especially for the exceptional collection of labels made since 1945 by the greatest artists but also pieces of German silverware of the seventeenth century (jugs and cups from the treasure of the King of Naples).
