The arm of the Chapter, the square Julien and the island of the Ravageurs, form an important reserve of greenery. The island of Ravageurs (6,4 ha) with its shaded park is accessible by a footbridge. From this island, it is possible to reach Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. The Bras du Chapitre, an arm of the Marne surrounding the Brise-Pain and Sainte-Catherine islands, offers beautiful walks along the gardens. There is also a dam called "du Chapitre" that can be seen from the Ile de Brise Pain.
