The "Debout les reines" exhibition, which takes pride of place on the garden railings of the Saint-Denis Cathedral Basilica, brings together photos taken as part of the "Réparer l'intime" self-esteem repair workshop run by the Maison des femmes de Saint-Denis. The center welcomes and cares for women victims of violence. For this project, a number of women were invited to redefine themselves as "queens" in charge of their own lives, and to reappropriate their image in photographs. The exhibition takes place at a monument where 32 queens are buried. For further information, click here.
