Former post office located in the center of the village offering 15 rooms in a romantic style.

In the middle of the village, this residential house - a former post office - spreads its restaurant and pizzeria with a street corner. On the ground floor, between pizzeria and restaurant, a "lounge" corner, with deep white chairs, gives a lively air. Côté restaurant, the kitchen of Marc Labourel, former of Androuet, is dedicated to marrying different cheeses to local products. Marc has to keep, he who gave cookery courses in the United States and Japan, is also the author of a book entitled "Cooking around cheese" by Androuet. It also puts the emphasis on the charcuteries, preferably a little forgotten, to give them back to the taste of the day. And wine is about it, with some references, indispensable for a wedding of unforgettable flavours with each cheese. During the season, under the trees, the beautiful terrace offers a beautiful cool space. The hostel also offers 15 rooms entirely renovated in romantic style and refined decoration.

I want to you share our experience very unpleasant to Auberge du Cheval Blanc with JOSSIGNY...We had reserved for a weekend of the month of May 2012 a breakfast room and 1 to dine at the gourmet restaurant.
The room was an outdated... spots on carpet heating and the weather was rainy and cold, black-out curtains and " cherry on the gâteau" the state of the bedding which is to be changed into emergency... a hollow forms when you are 2 people and resorts are felt well! Without forgetting that is very poorly to soundproof...so hear what happens in your neighbour... the corridors are very narrow and staircases limits dangerous... not really pleasant when your room is located on the top floor!
And I will finish with the bathroom... all door towels and impossible to take a shower without flooding the floor... and impossible to open the window!
A room is standing for £126 without the breakfast... what is inadmissible because the services do not follow!
The hotel is misleading because the rooms do not correspond to description or with photos!
In our great disappointment... we however popular that the restaurant is worthy of these 3 star a fine menu and friendly service but avoid the hotel absolutely!
In conclusion: Small quite expensive weekend around €250 for little pleasure because the mall of back quickly was felt after a night disastrous in a very bad bedding!
By this message, my friend and me let us to bear witness to the very unpleasant experience (it is the least we can say) that we lived last Saturday restaurant Auberge du Cheval Blanc.



I had beforehand called the restaurant to ask for the most romantic possible table me, for a romantic dinner which I had reported as being very important to my couple. And not of luck, we were placed near the entrance, with the location where there was the most visited... Unthinkable, when it is known that the restaurant was empty half and other locations more adapted much were.



But small flashback, arriving at the restaurant, a waiter made us sit on a bench located near the entrance, asking to us whether we want an aperitif. On the ton of the joke, I asked whether this aperitif were offered by the house. The waiter had a reaction of irritation and immediately invited to have us to our table. I imagine the fact to sit guests of this bench at the entrance is only grow with consumption... Welcome " mercantile" thus, unpleasant, source of stress, and bad feel.



By establishing our menus, once with our table, we were interested steps an entrance with snail ravioli. We commissioned waitress how snails were served. Six? Twelve? Its only meet on the tone of the irritation also was: "I know anything it me, but it is hearty". , We will allow throughout and very that 6 small snails...

Our menus being chosen, we nibbled our starter. But once finished snacks, we waited... 30 minutes before our starters are brought to us! The restaurant, however, was almost deserted. Before being able to start the starters, we had to claim our bottle of wine (the 26th bottle, however least expensive menu!) and expect a good end of time, so it is brought to us. We had been forgotten and our main courses cooled...



And now you hang, once our finished entrance, we had to wait... 50 minutes before the main course is! A record! Aggravated by the location, we informed of our dissatisfaction to the waitress, who had a scandalous reaction. In front of our remarks, it insisted on the fact that this sort of thing arrived in all the restaurants, we did not have to be felt desolate for, arrived everywhere, that it had this trade for 10 years, and that it was that you enter (!) another day to check that their service was not what we believe. This waitress, rather than to recognise the show, specified that this history had fallen onto us, and it was the fault with no luck. Around, we should have stolen us, not have tried to talk, are well wisely our main courses, and to satisfy us with glass of champagne that it offered to us for the end of meal, In Front Of the aggressiveness and the home of the waitress, we indicated that rather than consume full menu €30.90 whom we chose, we want to put an end to our evening and €24.70 to satisfy us on the menu starter and main course (therefore dessert or cheese). Needless to say that our evening was completely spoiled, and it is nausea that we absorbed the main course who had served us... Only one desire: to leave.



Results: we paid salted bill and were entitled to no message of regret. On the contrary: our remarks caused at our interlocutress only contempt and condescension.



The least things, if the staff Auberge du Cheval Blanc had been professional would have been for low profile, admit the mistake and offer a commercial gesture us, such as with cheese and dessert us so that we can enjoy all the same menu at €30.90 that we had first chosen. But the least things, especially, would have been to inform us upon departure there would be linger in the service.



In my career and my personal life, I had to dine in hundreds on restaurants in all sorts and my dinner Auberge du Cheval Blanc will be my worse experience " gastronomique". And believe me, the welcome and service are thousand times more cordial and professional in a Relais Routier...



In short, to be fled as the plague if ever the welcome and service are important.
