SAINT-ANDRÉ CHURCH
Church of Gothic architecture with two lamp-posts, one of which represents a squatting man holding a tool in each hand
Cited as early as 1150, this church is a treasure trove. Altered in the 18th century, its choir dates from the 13th and 15th centuries. Gothic in architecture, the church features two high lanterns, one depicting a crouching man holding a tool in each hand, the other a grinning head. Following the bombardment of 1944, the stained glass windows were all rebuilt. The shrine contains the remains of Saint Bathilde, founder of Chelles Abbey, Saint Bertille, Saint Radegonde and others. You can also admire her statues and a painting of Saint Roch.
