The château is surrounded by a park that has been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label.
The château was built in 1703 by the financier Poisson de Bourvallais. It was subsequently purchased by the Princesse de Conti, Louis XIV's legitimate daughter, in 1718. Other owners followed until the château became the official residence of the French Republic. Illustrious figures such as Diderot, Voltaire and Proust have stayed here. Surrounded by a park that has been awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" label, you'll enjoy strolling through the alleys.
