A Romanesque and Gothic building in Haguenau, with numerous alterations, neo-Gothic furnishings and paintings.
In front of Saint-Georges church, in the center of the fountain coming from Neubourg abbey, children are compared to "bees": they are busy in the church's beehive. The imposing Romanesque and Gothic edifice remains sublime despite its many alterations. Damaged by bombing during the Second World War, the church was restored in the late 1950s. Almost all the neo-Gothic furniture and paintings that had covered the church since the 19th century were removed. Take a look at the delicately crafted custode for the sacraments.
