Castle Hotel built on the foundations of a medieval fortress, with horseshoe-shaped staircase, woodwork library and park

Built in the late ^16th/early^17th century on the foundations of a medieval fortress, this brick and stone château imitates the Cheval Blanc courtyard of the Château de Fontainebleau, with its horseshoe-shaped staircases. Fallen from the Polish throne in 1725, Stanislas Leczinski found refuge here. Today, visitors can admire an ^18th-century library, late ^16th-century Flemish tapestries and a Swiss-German earthenware stove decorated with hunting scenes and allegories. In summer, the 40-hectare park is the perfect place for a stroll.

Visits possible all year round by appointment, for groups only. Group (30 people): €7 (languages available: English, French and Spanish). Self-guided tour of the grounds. Weekdays in July and September, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Adults: €5. Children aged 5 to 10: €3.

Nous avons réserver un petit week-end dans ce château, dès notre arrivée le propriétaire ou le gérant nous a demandé est-ce que on prendra le petit déjeuner dans l'établissement nous avons répondu que on prendrait que le premier jour et on verra pour la suite.. a la fin de notre séjour nous étions surpris que il nous à compter 2 petit déjeuner alors que nous étions d’accord pour un seul !! Nous avons donc payé un repas que on a même pas vu!!! En plus vu la qualité de petit déjeuner médiocre qui le compte a 17€ par personne c’est limite !! En plus les chambres possède même pas d’un mini bar ! Même pas une bouteille d’eau ! C’est tres très limite, de toute façon nous reviendrons plus dans cette établissement, au même prix on peut trouver beaucoup mieux.

Nous avons passé 1 nuit au château de Bourron Marlotte. L’accueil a été chaleureux et exceptionnel, les propriétaires viennent nous chercher, nous font visiter les lieux et nous emmènent jusqu’à notre chambre. Ils font un travail incroyable, ils sont partout à la fois pour pouvoir nous offrir un séjour à la hauteur. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison.
Plusieurs activités sont possibles, nous avons choisit le bain nordique : un vrai moment de détente.
Le château et son domaine sont d’une beauté exceptionnelle, nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Encore merci pour cet accueil !

Amazing chateau in Fountainbleu Forest. A very special place to stay as this is still a family home and we were warmly welcomed by the host, Guy. Huge lawns surround the chateau and there’s parking as well. Exquisitely decorated throughout.

Une expérience incroyable de part le cadre et l’histoire du château. L’hôte est très gentil et accueillant, discret il a à cœur de faire découvrir l’histoire du château et j’ai été ravi de de la documentation fournie.
Le bain nordique fut très agréable, avec un séjour plus long j’aurais adoré profiter des services vélos et pétanque. Un lieu calme une très belle chambre, très propre, et ce cadre, toujours, dont je rêve encore. Merci !

My husband and I stayed in a superior room at the castle. After a long day of travel from the United States, it was a PERFECT initial experience in France. The castle and grounds are stunning. The owner Guy was so kind. welcoming and accommodating even though we weren't able to arrive until late in the evening. Our room was gorgeous, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast the morning after was literally a royal breakfast - a delicious spread of pastries, breads, jams, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and tea. Guy checked in periodically to see how our stay was going. He was lovely and has had an amazing life raising his family in the castle! After checking out we visited the town and saw Fontainebleau Palace, strolling through the beautiful gardens. It was a perfect visit. Our only regret was not staying longer! Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in exploring an important historical place in France but wants to take the experience to the next level!
