When you enter the Pavillon de l'Empereur at the Opéra Garnier, you'll be dazzled by the sumptuous paintings, gilding and panelling. The library reading room is housed in a salon, the museum in the smoking room and temporary exhibitions in a rotunda. The museum traces the history of the Palais Garnier, including preparatory drawings of opera sets and some of the sets themselves, photos, props and models.
