ASTOR SAINT-HONORÉ * * * *
Modernized English style address with rooms on the floors and suites with panoramic terrace.
A certain Lord Astor, visiting Paris at the beginning of the th century, fell in love with the rue d'Astorg, so much so that he decided to base the Astor Saint-Honoré. The English style has been modernized, but it is still well in a rather Regency interpretation. The rooms are spread over seven floors in three shades of colours. A grey tapestry pearl, white and grey, a green carpet of water with lilas and purple motifs, or blue and cream. Two suites have panoramic terraces.

We felt the entire team (sorry for not having the names!) in the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We had a great experience from check-in, check-out, and helpful assistance from the concierge persons. The room was spacious––bigger than our expectation for Paris. The breakfast area was not as big as those in bigger hotels, and had less extensive selections, but it was adequate and delicious.
We particularly liked the cozy aspect of this hotel, located in a quiet area of what appears to be a busy part of the city. We also got a room facing the back of the hotel, away from the construction opposite. Our nights were quiet and we had very good sleep.
We also loved the water pressure of the shower––strong!
Out of our four nights of stay, there were two small issues:
1) On one of the days, our room was not made when we came back to our room at around 4pm. (This was an isolated incident, and did not happen again the the next day.) Perhaps it would be helpful if the rooms provide a "Please make up the room" sign like in some hotels.
2) On one of the afternoons, we decided to take a nap (around 4-5pm), we felt vibration in our room that probably came from the washing machine. Given the small size of the hotel, we felt that this is understandable.
These issues were minor and did not detract from our great experience at the hotel. We would love to stay in the same hotel again for our future visits.
