We tried the Quiche which was lovely and flavourful, though a bit watery for our liking. We also had an eclair and croissant which were ok, though not amazing.

We enjoyed eating in by the street, although note that the sit down prices are higher. The service was pleasant. 6.8/10

This place has earned all of its 60-odd one star reviews by doing exactly what those reviewers say: being excruciatingly rude & a total rip off. Our €35.30 bill was for a coffee, slice of salmon quiche, and 2 pastries. Yikes! We felt sorry for: first, the colleague bossed around by the nasty hipster bloke running it on 15 May; and second, for ourselves in going there on my Mum’s birthday! Such a disgrace. The rudeness achieved was 5-star, irrespective of us speaking French. They charged for a double shot of their nasty one-button machine coffee, but served a lousy one-shot as we watched on…!!! Never going back…. But it would’ve made a funny video watching the proprietor furiously readjusting all his chairs by millimetres, on which anyone had DARED to sit. I only wish I’d read the reviews before going - silly me!

Quiche with salmon is very good, a lot of filling in a thin crust. Paris Breast cake will take you to heaven. And prices are very reasonable.

Les tarifs ont allégrements augmenté, probablement de plus de 20% en 2 ans, cela réduit le nombre de clients.... bien pratique puisque les places assises sont rares.

This is the second trip to Paris and came back to The Smiths Bakery. Very traditional French food and desserts. Amazing. All very fresh.

Intoxication alimentaire immédiatement après avoir consommé une salade à emporter.
De plus, l’employé en charge de l’encaissement semblait n’avoir reçu aucune formation, il ne savait même pas comment taper une formule et a fait sauter la caisse en plein rush du midi.
Son pauvre collègue a été obligé de gérer le service au client et l’encaissement car il connaissait les prix par coeur.

I like the place and their desserts are very good, however the service is very bad. I've been there about three times now and the young man who serves seems impatient and is not very friendly. I've noticed that he is much more friendly with people who speak French and this is discouraging when going as a tourist. I've taken friends to the place and there hasn't been a single time that they haven't noticed his bad mood.

Looking for a snack, I wandered into the Smiths Bakery, attracted because I love the band (The Smiths). At the checkout line I was happy to be met by the sign reading “quiche of 2022.” Though I didn’t try the quiche, the Paris Brest and chocolate eclair were both quite adequate. I would definitely take away next time though because the prices jumped up when you wanted to sit down.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the location was perfect. It was right under our hotel, so we went twice. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Saint Germain!

Great bakery! The only minus is the lack of space to sit (common problem everywhere in Paris). But the bakery, ah. Its amazing.

Pastries looked ok, but did not try. Being charged 6 euro for an instant hot chocolate should be considered a crime though.

Jolie Terrasse. Personnel aimable. Choix varié. Délicieux snacks et cafés. J’ai pris la quiche au saumon et aux épinards avec un macchiato noisette. Dommage que je n’ai pas pu essayer les pâtisseries sucrées.
