Museum of mineralogy with thousands of samples, with a permanent collection in addition to temporary exhibitions

Known today as Mines Paris Tech, the Mining school was founded in 1783 and is setup in the Vendome hotel (eighteenth century) since 1816. It trains engineers and offers research activities. Its museum has a rich collection of thousands of samples: emerald, ruby, amethyst, gold, rock crystal, quartz crystals etc. In its brut or polished form, also in the form of small strips cut from the thickness of stones. These wonders are dazzling. Temporal exhibitions are also available in addition to permanent exhibitions.

Une des collections les plus complète au Monde! Ce magnifique musée émerveillera les novices, et passionnera les connaisseurs de minéraux. Minéraux, météorites, gemmes, satisferont votre curiosité. Même si le musée ne comporte qu'un seul étage, la visite dure au moins 1h30, voire beaucoup plus pour les passionnés.
