Fréquenté par des habitués, l'assignat a su garder son caractère authentique. La cuisine est simple mais bonne, les prix abordables, l'ambiance conviviale.

Rude staff. The dog of the owner of the place bit my leg and left my leg bleeding and the owner didn't even apologize or ask if I was OK. I went to eat and they didn’t even let me sit on an empty table at an empty restaurant. They made me eat in the balcony. Now I know why it was empty ????????????????????????

A classic french cafe. We visited the Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint) before and were looking for a place to eat when we came upon this place. We all ordered the chicken and chips and it was delicious. Baking hot when served and all parts delicious. One piece of advice is to miss the puddings as the one we tried was a let down and you have the whole of Paris to try!!

Je vous le recommande ! a éviter lorsqu'il y a la fanfare a moins de vouloir devenir sourd . on à l'impression de se retouver dans un troquet des années 50 avec des formules a prix doux et on se régale

The hostess / bartender / waitress was welcoming, spoke English, and carefully explained the menu to us. Everyone else in the place was speaking French, engaged in conversation with each other, not a phone in sight. I felt like we had accidentally stumbled upon a central casting of authentic Parisian characters!
1 starter, 2 mains, 2 beers, 1 tea,1 coffee, and 1 great dessert for 49 Euros!
Was it the very best food in Paris? Not really, but felt so authentic, not catering to tourists like us, I almost shouldn't write this review lest it become over-run by the wrong type of tourists. Here is a clue to good behavior: bring some French language with you, say bonjour, deux pour déjeuner. Make an effort, and you will be rewarded!
